THE VIGNERONS : A Family Of Small-Scale Farmers, Winemakers.

Domaine Roche: Naramata, BC

Penelope and Dylan Roche had a dream to raise their family and practice their trade as one, at a manageable scale. This is the definition of the word Vigneron - a small scale producer (usually family) that both farms the land and makes the wine.

The couple has a natural instinct for balance (in life and wine). Penelope is a 6th generation winemaker from Bordeaux, FR. Dylan, from North Vancouver, comes to winemaking honestly after a hot second dabbling in bike mechanics. We can credit Penelope for discovering his talents and sending him to winemaking school.

The two met in New Zealand (or was it Burgundy) and they have spent the last 10 years building their winery and raising three lovely children along the way.

Please enjoy the wines from Domaine Roche, made with so much love and attention!

2019 Tradition Pinot Gris: cool and unusual. This wine drinks more like a chardonnay, yet with that refreshing, Okanagan stone fruit typical to Pinot Gris. Textural and aromatic - you'll find this wine pairs well with fish, pastas and most meats. Cheers!

2018 nuances - Meritage Blend: The 'n' is intentionally lower case. This is a complex yet subtle Meritage blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Juicy, but revealing as you sip. Plum and cherry, cedar spice and hardwood. Lifted acidity and a long finish! Great wine for sunset watching and celebratory dinners!

EXCLUSIVELY PINOT NOIR AND CHARDONNAY - A Winemaking Wizard!

Meyer Family Vineyards: OK Falls, BC

Proprietor Jak Meyer and tenured winemaker, Chris Carson are a perfect match.

After almost 12 years of work at the Okanagan Falls property, you could say Chris might just be the top maker of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Okanagan Valley. We're not making this up - it seems like the world agrees too, given how many international awards this winery has.

McLean Creek is the home block for Meyer Family, in Okanagan Falls. Just under the famous Peach Cliff, the grapes find their perfect micro climates. Gentle handling in the vineyard and an expert eye in the cellar mean amazing wine in the glass.

One cool thing about Meyer is how Chris pulls small batches of juice from the home block to create wines with different characters. He tinkers with how they ferment and how long the juice lies in oak. Amazing, long lived wines at the end of the day.

2020 McLean Creek Chardonnay: A rich nose on this wine filled with notes of lemon and brioche. This wine pairs beautifully with halibut, roast chicken and double cream brie cheese!

2020 McLean Creek Pinot Noir: Vivid, juicy cherry on the nose! Also notes of forest floor and baking spices. Textural and complex to taste with a long finish and a kiss of oak. Pair this wine with almost anything - duck, salmon, tuna or a even a steak with chimmichuri!
